Save money with clean burning premium heating oil
Peak Energy’s premium heating oil is the new, environmentally friendly fuel that will save you money on home heating bills. Special fuel additives are incorporated to the standard kerosene which creates a cleaner and more efficient form of oil that we refer to as Peak Extra Heat +. It prevents sludge growth in your tank, keeps your fuel fresher for longer and reduces heating system related problems.
At the time of your heating oil delivery, our driver will add the additive to the oil tank. Depending on your system condition, it may take couple of weeks for Peak Extra Heat + to accomplish the desired results.
If your AGA range cooker and heating system use the same oil tank as the supply you should use Peak Aga Range Cooker Fuel Extra + for a maximum performance.
Benefits of using premium heating oil
Our premium heating oil contains a combination of components to help maintain quality, reduce fuel related service problems as well as enhancing performance. Peak Extra Heat + keeps your boiler clean and reduces wear to components. Harmful particles are dispersed in the tank and burned off to prevent them from causing any damage.
The advantages of switching to premium heating oil include the following:

Improves system efficiency
Peak Energy customers have seen a marked increase in boiler efficiency and a reduction in field problems. The active ingredients in the premium heating oil help to maintain the quality of the fuel and prevent deposits growth which restricts the fuel flow. This reduces the likelihood of boiler operating problems and expensive engineer callout fees which may occur between routine services.

Cuts down heating oil bills
A boiler without any deposit build up on nozzle or heat exchanger surfaces consumes less fuel. Peak Energy's premium heating oil optimises its performance and improves fuel economy by eliminating deposits build up. In addition, less fuel is used to achieve the optimal temperature.

Fuel kinder to the environment
Using Peak Energy's Peak Extra Heat + promotes a greater system efficiency which produces less pollution, meaning you can reduce your household carbon emissions by nearly half a ton. By lowering your CO2 you will be helping the environment, for example, 18 fewer trees per year are usually needed to absorb your domestic emissions.
Why choose Peak Energy premium heating oil?
- Saves money on heating and cooking bills
- Reduces operating and service problems
- Prevents and clears sludge formation
- Clean and environmentally friendly fuel
- Reduces buildup of soot and carbon deposits
- Increases fuel shelf life
- Minimises the potential for oil tank corrosion
Typical Heating Oil System Problems

Fuel bugs inside your oil tank
Oil fired cookers and heating system performance is also exposed to harmful microorganisms found in your tank. It is very common for fuel sludge to appear, as it can grow due to reactions from oxidation, condensation and heat exposure. This causes sludge to form a sediment at the bottom of the storage tank.
Sediment at the bottom of a storage tank can become problematic, especially when it has low oil levels. Upon refilling, the sludge may be stirred up and get into the fuel filter, blocking flow and resulting in poor efficiency of your oil-fired cooker and boiler. In some cases, poorly stored fuel can contribute to a potential system breakdown.

Nozzle covered in soot
Most oil-fired boiler owners are not aware of the efficiency loss which is caused by soot when a fuel filter is clogged. Over time, small carbon deposits will form inside your boiler components, which obstruct heat transfer between services.
The oil nozzle covered in soot causes an incomplete combustion due to wrong rations of fuel and air particles in the boiler chamber. It is a very uneconomic process due to the excess of air which is blown up the chimney along with valuable heat.
